Kyrgyzstan's hopes to improve its economic situation by mining gold at the rich Kumtor deposit. The mining team came across the ore with the diminished amount of metal. Because of the overall price fall on the world market it turned out very difficult to attract investments to another deposit - Taldy - Bulak. The prognosed amount of metal here is 60 tons. Even though there many small deposits in the Republic, the foreign investors do not agree to invest into more than 100 ton deposits. To increase the amount of refined gold, the goverment canceled the customs duty on the raw material from the adjacent countries. This large uranium producer has a London Exchange cetificate on gold affinage.
