In February Tchelyabinsk Watch and Clock Plant "Molniya" produced over 27.5 thousand of mechanic watches and clocks of all types from 22 thousand in February 1999. During the two months Tchelyabinsk watchmakers assembled 47 677 watches, which is by 24.5% exceeds the amount of the same period of last year. The sales increased by 38% and exceeded 15 million in February. Starting March the Plant resumed the production of four types of wall mechanic and electrical clocks in natural wood cases.
