The first meeting of the commission aimed to make decisions concerning quotas for precious metals mining in Chelyabinsk region allocation has taken place. This commission was created according to the decree of the governor and the government of the region in January 2003.

By the beginning of 2003 18 gold mining companies have obtained 30 licences for geological exploration and gold mining, waste products remaking and storage.

As a result of the meeting, nine companies have obtained the quotas.
