The conference "Gold mining Industry" has been held in Moscow. During the conference the deputy minister of the industry of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Vladimir Fedorov declared that in 2003 Yakutia plans to mine 18 tons of gold. These plans are connected with the programme "Gold mining industry development for 2002-2006" worked out in the Republic. This programme allows in 3 years to increase gold mining volume by 8 tons.
