According to the head of the GOKHRAN of Russia Vladimir Rybkin, gold production volume in Russia in 2002 amounted to 173-174 tons. This figure by 12-13% exceeds the figures of 2001, when only 154,5 tons of gold were produced in the country. In connection to the price for gold increase, according to the GOKHRAN, this year gold production volume will reach 178-180 tons level.
