According to the chairman of the Union of gold prospectors of Russia Viktor Tarakanovskiy, the volume of gold mining in Russia in 2003 will increase by 10-15 tons and will reach the level of 190 tons of gold. This increase is connected with new concentrating plants putting into operation and modernisation of the existing ones.
