Last Century Jewelry Found in Biysk
A unique find was discussed in Biysk during last week. When making repairing of the building of Tolstoy street workers found jewelry of the last century. Mason Shurygin and master Korniyenko were breaking the covering when found a leather purse with 3 banknotes and a tin box with two ladies watches and a pendant. Seven silver spoones were found lately. All the finds were forwarded to the city museum.
Silver spoons are dated 1831 according to the engraving made on the reverse side of one of them. Golden watches are of European origin, this fact is proved by engravings in French. The watches still keep the time after being in a hiding place for over 100 years. The money are also sent to the museum.
