Nornickel Appoints New General Director
Nornickel has named Jonson Khagazheev as its new director. He will replace Alexander Khloponin the newly elected as a governor of Taimirsky Autonomous District. Complying with request of Khloponin the board meeting on Thursday decided to stop his power as a chairman of the directors board of the enterprise since February 12, 2001.
According to Nornickel press service the directors board expressed the deep respect for the contribution made for improving in critical period of 1996-1997 and other services for the company.
Jonson Khagazheev who will replace Khloponin was a first deputy head for the company and General Director of "Norilsky Combinat".
