ALROSA Spent 223 mln Rubles Sponsoring Regions of Yakutia
ALROSA Company spent 223 mln rubles endowing the construction of medical and cultural institutions, the repairing water providing systems at uluses (regions of the republic), the press service of the company reported to Prime-TASS.
Eight uluses of the republic are among the founders of ALROSA, the company with 1.5 bn turnover. Each region owns a 1% stake in the company.
The report says the primary goal of the investment is to destroy the lag in the social and economical development of the uluses.
During the previous year 150 mini tractors were provided at the expence of ALROSA. The special issue is to provide schools and liceums of the uluses with computer equipment and furniture. 3 mln rubles were spent to support the orphanages.
Apart the sponsorship ALROSA is to put two new schools into exploitation in Taas-Juriakh and Juriun Khaya villages worth 118 and 125 mln rubles respectively.
ALROSA Company is a budget forming enterprize of Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The share of the payments in the budget is 80%.
