The officers of the investigation bureau of West Siberia ODA of Omsk transportation system have recently arrested two Krasnoyarsk region citizens who had stolen 130 kg of platinum concentrate from Norilsk Nickel corporation. According to the latest data both thieves were apprehended at the Omsk airport as charter flight passangers from Norilsk. They confessed to the inspectors that they were heading for Moscow to sell the concentrate there. One kilogram of this metal is worth as much as $8 thousand at the world black market. The total cost of the lot could be about $1 million. The thieves were taken into custody and then sent back to Krasnoyarsk area. They have been charged with commiting a large sum theft.
