Yakut branch of the Diamond Chamber of Russia will be opened on the 27th of February in the capital of Saha Republic. The chain of enterprises dealing with diamond ore cutting and the production of articles with brilliants considerably increased in Yakutia for the last year. In many respects, it was carried out because of the multi support of JSC "ALROSA". A volume of brilliants worth $60.3 million was produced in the republic for the 9 months of 1999, where 43% of it is the product of JSC "Tuymanda Diamond". "ALROSA" owns 42% of shares issued by this company in its trust management. It is being planned to increase the volume of brilliant production in 2000. The sole JSC "Tuymanda Diamond" will produce diamonds worth $60 million. The counsel meeting of the Diamond Chamber of Russia will be held in Yakutsk followilng the events, which were dedicated to the opening of the Yakut branch.
