Provided the economic situation in the country remains stable and no major economic shocks happen, in 2000 Magadan region will mine approximately 30 tons of gold, reported to RBC the chairman of Natural Resource Committee of Magadan region Yury Pruss. He added that in 1999 the region plants mined 29.2 tons of gold, in 1988 - 30.2 tons. Total gold output in Russia in 1999 was 110 tons, which is 6 tons more than in 1998.
