 Diamond Rough Price Change

Diamond Trading Company (Ply Limited, dealing with diamond rough sales in the Central Sales Organization of De Beers, is making changes in the price list starting the next sight which will be in operation from February 21, 2000.

Increase in the demand and supply limitations of lower quality diamonds, which for the most part are cut in India, have led to a price rise in this category. Therefore the changes have been made in the price list.

This increase will have different effect on diamond miners depending on the share of the output that falls under this category. Generally this change will lead to an insignificant growth of the average price level in all diamond categories operated by Diamond Trading Company.
