For 6 months from the beginning of work with silver on the market of precious metals in Saint-Petersburg the Savings Bank of Russia has sold more than 0.5 ton of 999-alloy silver to the jewellery firms as it was informed by the press-service of the Savings Bank in Saint-Petersburg. The Savings Bank in Saint-Petersburg began conducting the operations with standard silver bars weighing 28-32 kg on the internal market of precious metals since the 15th of July 1999. The trade is performed to preliminary orders with and without opening an account in the Savings Bank.
