The meeting of "Norilsk Nickel" Corporation was held in Murmansk. The general executive of the Corporation A. Hloponin discussed with the Murmansk region authorities the development conception of the Corporation enterprises on the Kola Peninsula, "Severonickel" and "Pechenganickel" until the year 2015 (reported by SeverInform news agency). Governor of the Murmansk region Yury Evdokimov is satisfied with the achieved conception because it does not include closing down of one of the plants, as the local authorities feared. The parties confirmed their interest in the development of the local mineral and raw resources, which includes mining of Sopcheozersk deposit of chromite ores, copper and nickel deposits in Monchegorsky and Pechengsky regions of the Murmansk region. Subsidiaries of Norilsk Nickel, open JSC "Kola Mining Company", open JSC "GMK Pechenganickel", open JSC "Severonickel Plant", produce electrolyte nickel, carbonyl nickel shot, cobalt concentrate, electrolyte copper, concentrates of precious metals, finestein and sulphuric acid.
