The exhibition "Zolotaya Kazna Rossii" (The Golden Treasury of Russia) from the collections of
the State Fund will be held in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, organized by GOKHRAN of Russia.
The ceremonial opening of the exhibition will be on the 1st of February. The exhibition is opened with
the unique jewelry articles, created by the masters of the Diamond Fund of Kremlin. The jewellers of
GOKHRAN have managed to reproduct the images of the state regalias, dating to 1860-1870. The size of
the copies is 2/3 of the originals. For their production they used platinum of 950 alloy and gold of
750 alloy as well as brilliants (two of them weighing 26.56 carates and 21,54 carates) and the large
sapphire weighing 18.7 carates.
The experienced jewellers of GOKHRAN of Russia have already taken part in the restoration of
the unique old jewelry, including emperor's regalias. Considering that historical values of the
Diamond Fund, which include the emperor's scepter, cannot be exhibited out of the exhibition of
the Diamond Fund, the jewelry copies created by the masters of GOKHRAN of Russia let the visitors
of the Museum to see what these regalias look like.
The exhibition widely presents the mineral collection of the golden nuggets, as well as the collection
of platinum nuggets, seldom appearing in the nugget condition. The samples of the not colored and
naturally colored diamonds will decorate the exposition. The largest of the exhibited diamonds
weighs about 196.63 carates.
The major part of the exhibition includes the works of jewellers from Moscow and Saint-Petersburg
of the 19th and 20th centuries.It also includes the articles of the famous firms I.Sazikova,
K.Faberje, K.Bolin and other suppliers of the Emperor's Court.
