At the meeting of the government of the Sverdlovsk region Mr. A. Surganov, the Chairman of
the Committee of the natural resources, informed that it is planned to spend 299 millions of
roubles for the search and the development of the deposits.
Andrey Surganov said that 66 millions of roubles will be transferred to geologists from the
federal budget, 86 million from the regional, and the rest of the money is expected from the
investors and the interested enterprises as the "Region-Inform" reports.
This year 155 millions of roubles have been already spent, in particular, 39 millions from
the federal budget and 21 millions from the regional budget. The chain of deposits was
found and developed, in particular, gold-bearing deposits were found in Lobva, Syzva and
Chusovaya rivers. It is being planned to develop gas and oil deposits in the South-West
and North-East of the region, as well as to continue the development of the manganous
deposit at the Polunochnoye mine and the copper development at the Safiyannovsk and Tagil mines.
