The Fair was different from the previous of the kind in that its
technical support had a much better representation. Several stands maintained by the Center for
Technical Support of Jewellry Enterprises and Russian Jewellry Network were virtually visited by
everyone. We presented a CD catalog containing information on the Fair, specifically the outline
of stands location which made it much easier finding stands of a certain company. Also available
was the Fair schedule and announcements of the events. The stand provided various computer and
Internet services, as well as photocopying and booklet binding.
The official site for Assay Office of Russia was presented at the Fair. The Center was awarded for
technical and information support of the Fair. Besides, many contracts were signed with many jewellry
companies. The Fair made it clear that the Internet is not simply a 'toy' but a powerful tool capable
of promoting the industry.
