The representatives of Russian Jewellry Network together with the Marketing Department of
the Jewelers Guild of Russia have visited the world's largest jewellry show in Basel.
Along with the many professional issues the discussion touched the work of Russian Jewellry
Network and the prospects for its international development.
Contracts were signed on the information exchange between GemKey and the Net, and on becoming a
part of Polygon network, a large Internet portal that highlights jewellry trade. Also discussed
was the possibility of information exchange with the representatives of National Jeweller,
Professional Jeweller, JCK magazine, Basel magazine and a number of other periodicals.
The main achievement, however, was the signing of a provisional arrangement with the administration
of Basel Show on participation of Russia in the next Show in the year 2000. This is the first time that Russia
is going to take part in the Show. Previously no Russian company had been given such a privilege.
